DEPED SCHOOL DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT CUNANAN ON THE WAY OUT?

Abuse of government power will end.
By: Central Luzon News Center | Nelson Bolos

This was how a highly placed source described the controversy on Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Estrelita Cunanan who is being sought to be replaced by many principals and district supervisors and the mayors of the province.

“She’s (Cunanan) on the way out”, said a high ranking official of the provincial government who requested that his name be withheld.

The complaint against Cunanan “exploded into the open” when the Municipal Mayors’ League (LMMP) of the province signed a resolution seeking the transfer of the provincial head of the Department of Agriculture.

In an earlier interview, Moncada Mayor Estelita Aquino said, “we only acted on the complaints brought to us by the (DepEd) supervisors and principals. Most of them have issues against her (Cunanan), they do not want her that’s why issued the resolution”.

The LMMP resolution was addressed to DepEd secretary Leonora Briones and was also submitted to governor Susan Yap-Sulit and congressmen Charlie Cojuangco, Victor Yap and Noel Villanueva of the third district.

The resolution states 14 alleged issues of “misconduct and malpractice” of Cunanan including “spending of public funds for leisure, midnight appointment and promotion of non-deserving employee(s), utter bias or favoritism on the ranking system, budget plan for different districts not followed but implemented as the superintendent so desires, assigning wrong persons to task, head teachers promoted to principal 1 and 2 even not qualified, manipulation of (ranking) results, supervisors not allowed to visits schools without travel orders ”, among others.

A district supervisor who also requested to be anonymous said “si SDS kung magpamiting lagi sa Gracia Restaurant sa Lubao, Pampanga, or sa Anne Raquels’ Resort in Olongapo City.

Mahirap ng maulit ang ganyan (controversial SDS)”, said the source.
Cunanan is also being charged of “stunting growth and development of the schools in the province”.
The same district supervisor who fears reprisal said, “we are not allowed to go visit the schools within our district without her knowledge, we have to secure travel order from her before we can go out. She (Cunanan) does not welcome suggestions to improve our services. She insults us, she shouts at us. We are completely demoralized”.

Meanwhile, Aquino flatly denied a netizen’s comment in an online news that “marami ng mayors ang nag-apologize kay SDS (on their signing the LMMP resolution”.

Aquino said, “I don’t think so”, intoning that none among the mayor-signatories have settled their differences with Cunanan.

In a related developments, Barangay Chairman Manuel Arciaga of Barangay Pinasling, Gerona, said during a recent meeting with governor Susan Yap, ““kung ako ay may anak na 17 at lahat sila ay nirereklamo at pinaalis ang katulong na kinuha ko, wala akong magagawa kundi sundin ang gusto ng aking mga anak. .
Arciaga is a retired teacher who thought at several public schools for 27 years.

Yap declined to comment on the issue while Cunanan refused to be interviewed.

Hindi ko ku-kunsitinhin ang ganyan!
By: Central Luzon News Center | Nelson Bolos

Thus, said Mayor Andy Lacson to the family of Rodney Antonio who was beaten black and blue by his neighbor PO1 Marc Bucu inside their house at Barangay Alfonso around midnight September 14, 2017.

Antonio said Bucu was in civilian clothes and “very drunk when he brutality assaulted” him.
Showing his wounds on his head and bruises on his body, Antonio said, “wala naman po akong kasalanan ng bigla na lang siyang (Bucu) dumating at sinira niya ang aming pinto at ang pinto ng kuwarto ko. Pinagpapalo po niya ako ng kanyang baril at pinagsusuntok at pinagtatadyakan niya ako”.

The 30-year old Antonio was accompanied by his mother and some members of his family when they sought Lacson’s help at the municipal hall.

Antonio also said in front of police chief PSupt Mike Guzman that he was alone then at their house when Bucu arrived “very drunk”.

Antonio showed at least 4 wounds on his head and several bruises in his body mostly on his back.
During the meeting Lacson said, “HIndiko ku-kunsintihin ang mga ganyang pulis. Dapat mapatawan siya ng disciplinary action. The police should ensure that the people are safe. They are the protector of the people, they have no right to hurt any person”.

Buco and Antonio reside at the same Purok in their barangay and have known each other for a long time.

The visibly frightened victim revealed that Bucu’s anger must have been related to an altercation the between Bucu’s relatives and their other neighbors who run towards Antonio’s house night before.

During the meeting at the mayor’s office, an aunt of Antonio who requested her name withheld said, “Kasarap sana na may kapitbahay kang pulis na po-protekta sa inyo, pero sa nangyari takot na kami sa mga pulis”.

Buti na lang nakatakbo pa si Rodney papunta sa amin”, added the aunt who lives in front of Antonio’s house.
Right after the meeting, Guzman summoned Buco to face Antonio and his family.

"I would like to share mine to our kapwa TarlaqueƱos and the whole world as I was featured  locally, in National tv ( CTV News - Canada ) and International news television  like BBC World News America / London. I was also featured in magazine, journals and biggest newspaper in Canada as a role model that gives inspiration to my fellow OFW, young/ old entrepreneurs and as a 5'2" Asian woman that operates the biggest truck in the whole world , the size of a 2 storey house that you can only see in discovery channel. Lahat ng mga yan ay may links sa you tube and FB at sa mga designated areas of their responsibilities .

I was an OFW for less than 4 years and luckily nakapag Canada. Wala akong kamag anak, walang tumulong at walang kakilala. Hanggang matapos ko ang program as a live-in caregiver.

Tinatanong nila " how did you do that" ang sagot ko simple Lang , i just  do it ! Time management but always , Family comes first . Hindi Lang naman ako panay work work work at business . Taon taon may nagpupunta sa aming tahanan para ma interview ako about my life story.  Hindi sila nagsasawang I featured Ito.

Ma'am Calubad is also a Heavy Equipment Operator a Wedding Planner/Consultant/ Decorator a Safety & Health Management Consultant and a graduate in College of the Holy Spirit with a Bachelor of Secondary Education - Major in English.

"I hope people will learn lessons and it will serve an inspiration to people Lalo na sa Kapwa OFW natin at sa mga taong nawawalan ng pag asa sa buhay. But now dahil sa sipag at tiyaga heto na ako ngayon"

"I was televised na rin sa Umagang kay ganda, ba sila and many more tv
Networks also international Tv's, magazines , journals , biggest newspapers sa Canada na nakarating sa London and many parts of the world dahil sa itsura ko , small , Asian at Ito ang work ko, also patong patong na Ginagawa sa dayaoff ko at nakakayang i manage lahat . #Multitasking"

"Just showing you this not to be famous , I don't need that but to give  inspiration  and share my success stories .

Maraming matutuwa trust me

Oust DepEd Schools Division Superintendent Estrelita Cunanan

Ang Mayors League ng Tarlac ay naglabas ng resolution na pinapa-transfer si DepEd Schools Division Superintendent Estrelita Cunanan. Bakit?

By: Central Luzon News Center/ Tarlac Weekender
