2 MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES IN CONCEPCION, TARLAC BUSTED WITH SHABU

Concepcion, Tarlac - - “Walang sino-sino pagdating sa droga”

~ Central Luzon News Center ~

Thus, said mayor Andy Lacson on the arrest of 2 municipal employees here yesterday by the local police led by PSupt Luis Ventura Jr.

In his report to Tarlac Police Provincial Director PSSupt Ritchie Posadas, Ventura identified the arrested municipal employees in a separate buy bust operations as Abel Datu, 50, of Barangay San Nicolas Pobalcion, and Armando Pamintuan, 51, of Barangay Green Village who was entrapped along with 40-year old Mary Ann Pamintuan in their barangay.

Datu is a contractual street sweeper while Pamintuan works as a permanent utility personnel.
Being both employees of the municipal government, they are classified as “newly discovered High Value Targets (HVT)” said Ventura who assumed as police chief of this town last March 28.

In an interview, Lacson revealed that, “since Col. Ventura became our police chief I ordered him to arrest all persons involved in illegal drugs regardless of who they are. Sa aking administrasyon walang sino-sino pagdating sa droga”.

Last month, Ventura led his men in separately entrapping 2 barangay kagawads who were Barangay Kagawad Daniel Quilala of Barangay Alfonso and Barangay Kagawad Noel Sanches of Barangay Sta. Rita.

Four sachets of shabu were confiscated from Datu, while Pamintuan yielded 2 sachets and Mary Ann has 3 plastic sachets of shabu.

Datu and the Pamintuans all tested positive of methamphetamine hydrochloride.

For his part, Ventura said, “We are thankful for the support of the people of Concepcion especially Mayor Lacson. Their trust and cooperation ensured the success of our anti-drug campaign”.

In less than 3 months, Ventura is credited for having arrested more than 60 persons involved in illegal drugs.

Chowking Crew In Camiling, Tarlac Praised Netizen For Returning Important Documents

In this day and age when almost everyone in the country is trying his or her best to make ends meet, it is heartwarming to know that some people chose to stay honest in the midst of temptation.

By: Era Nunag

A Chowking's Crew in Camiling, Tarlac is being commended for returning a belt bag , video camera, wallet worth of cash and important documents that his costumer left.

Isaiah Punsoy the Chowking's costumer has nothing but praise for Chowking's Crew after the latter returned his wallet, which contained huge amount of money.

Punsoy praise the guy on the picture by posting his happiness for returning back her wallet.

Here's the actual post of Mr. Punsoy:

On our way home after a successful overnight fishing at Hundred Islands, me and my fishing buddy dropped by for our favorite wanton noodle at the Chow King Camiling branch.

After finishing our merienda, I grabbed a boxful of Asadong Siopaw as pasalubong for the wife and proceeded home not knowing I had left behind something so important that could potentially be a nightmare.

As I unloaded my fishing gear, I realized that I left behind my belt bag, videocam and wallet at ChowKing Camiling. I quickly felt a desperation in the pit of my stomach and called my fishing buddy to make a Google search on the Chowking Camiling Branch phone number while I frantically search for my wallet containing my driver’s license,

BDO Visa Credit Card and my PRC P.E.E. ID. I immediately realized the laborious documentation processes needed in applying for a duplicate license.

As soon as I received the Chowking phone number from my fishing buddy, I immediately called the Camiling Branch. The Restaurant Manager informed me that their crew found my waist bag, videocam and wallet with $700 cash and now had the items safely kept in their vault.

My worst nightmare was averted and I cannot express enough the relief I had when he told me the great news.

KUDOS to Mr. ADRIAN DELA CRUZ and the rest of the Chowking Camiling Crew. It’s nice to know that there are still a lot of honest people in this country. It speaks so much of a person's character and the corporate culture to do the right and noble thing.

I must say that I am greatly invigorated by the act of honesty the staff at Chowking went over and beyond what was expected of them and to say the least they were very empathic about my concerns. Truly a class act by all involved.

KUDOS again to the Chowking Camiling Crew and let us hope people in government will follow suit.

Inspiring Story Of TSU Student Survived In 5 Years With 20 Pesos Allowance

“Hanggang saan aabot ang 20 pesos mo?”

20 pesos…

First year college ako nung tuluyang mawalan ng trabaho ang aking Papa.

7 pesos pamasahe papuntang eskwelahan

2 pesos for Tithes(Syempre matik na yan)

Ikaw…

Mr. Robin Lee N. Metiam
Degree Holder (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering)
Working Student
Electrical Plan Designer
DOST Scholar
Regional Math Wizard
2-Term President of Campus Movers for Christ-TSU Chapter
Youth Leader
Cell Leader
Worship Leader

Totoong totoo talaga ng bawat pangako Nya sa Jeremiah 29:11; “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

:) God Bless Us More and more and more!

An elderly woman has been selling Buko Salad around schools in Tarlac.

By: Era Nunag

When we see an elderly, in her 80’s, Lola Marta working in spite of her age, we feel remorseful, thinking she should be at home relaxing and not carrying a Ice Chest with Buko Salad that she has to sell.

Netizen Wency Lavigne posted a photo of an old woman selling ice candy in Tibag High School, making him wonder.

Despite the hot weather, she has been seen tending her stall.

It is kind of inspiring. Diligence, Sacrifice, and Love. This Lola is a true definition of hard working. The 26th Anniversary Of The Eruption Of Mt. Pinatubo

"The lessons of those years and the values that we have learned must never be forgotten. They should be kept alive for future generations to learn from."

By: Era Nunag

Today marks the 26th anniversary of one of the most significant eruptions of the last century the 1991 eruption of Pinatubo in the Philippines. The eruption is a landmark event for a number of reasons. First, it was one of the great successes of modern volcano monitoring - the cost in terms of lives and property were greatly reduced thanks to excellent mitigation, monitoring and emergency management. Second, it was an eruption that showed how a single event on the planet can have a global impact, as the "Pinatubo Effect" caused a 4-5 year period of cooling around the globe.

Governor of Pampanga on June 13 urged Kapampangans to never forget the valuable lessons from the 1991 eruption of Mt. Pinatubo and how the destructive forces of the subsequent lahar flows have proven the indomitable courage and resiliency of the Kapampangan spirit.

Executive Order No. 09-2017 declares the suspension of Work in all government offices and classes in both public and private schools on June 15, 2017 duly signed by Gov. Lilia Nanay Pineda in commemoration of the 26th Anniversary of the Mount Pinatubo Eruption.

A Beautiful Disaster
(Bursts of gas-charged magma exploded into umbrella ash clouds, hot flows of gas and ash descended the volcano’s flanks and lahars swept down valleys. The collaborative work of scientists from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), and the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) saved more than 5,000 lives and $250 million in property by forecasting Pinatubo's 1991 climactic eruption in time to evacuate local residents and the U.S. Clark Air Force Base that happened to be situated only 9 miles from the volcano.

U.S. and Filipino scientists worked with U.S. military commanders and Filipino public officials to put evacuation plans in place and carry them out 48 hours before the catastrophic eruption. As in 1991 at Pinatubo, today the USGS is supported by The US Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance to provide scientific assistance to countries around the world though VDAP, the Volcano Disaster Assistance Program. The program and its partners respond to volcanic unrest, build monitoring infrastructure, assess hazards and vulnerability, and improve understanding of eruptive processes and forecasting to prevent natural hazards, such as volcanic eruptions, from becoming human tragedies.)

Seven Ways To Avoid Being Hacked

It's much easier to hack someone than you might think.

Last year, online privacy and security firm HideMyAss! enlisted a seven-year-old in a social experiment, giving her the opportunity to hack a participant’s laptop and access private information.
The primary school pupil managed to find out the person’s email, web history and other information simply by following a downloadable online guide.

Losing data like this can break a business’s reputation, so small firms and FTSE 100 firms alike must be wary of the dangers of possible cyber attacks and act before any data is lost.

Danvers Baillieu, COO of HideMyAss!, has these words of caution for staying safe on the web.

1. Beware of public WiFi

There are simple ways to prevent data loss via public WiFi. Check it’s legitimate: It’s easy for hackers to set up a fake WiFi network that looks like an official one.

Before signing on to any WiFi, the best way to check if the network name is legitimate is by asking an employee of the place you’re in.

2. Forget the network

Once you have finished browsing on a WiFi, log off all services you were using and then ask the device to forget the network so it doesn’t automatically join next time you’re in range.

3. Turn off your WiFi

Make sure you disable WiFi when you’re not using it. This prevents your device joining any rough networks automatically without you noticing.

4. Use a VPN

VPNs act as an intermediary between your device and the internet server, routing all your activity through your own little loop of the internet that is encrypted, meaning a would-be intruder will find it impossible to sniff your information out or know what you’re doing, whether this is on a mobile, tablet or computer.

5. Look after your passwords

It’s good practice to change all passwords regularly and not use the same passwords across many different services. There are password managers available online that help manage them all.

There are also services that support two-factor authentication, allowing you to add two levels of password protection on services such as Gmail, Twitter and Facebook.

6. Check the lock

You wouldn’t leave your front door open, so why leave yourself vulnerable online?

If a website is secure it displays the green lock sign by it. This is otherwise known as HTTPS, and it encrypts the data that passes from your device to the internet server, meaning any hackers can’t decipher your private information.

7. Apps can be dodgy

Always check permissions on the apps before installing and make sure they aren’t accessing unnecessary information. For example, a quiz app should not have access to your contacts list or your network info.

WANTED BIG TIME DRUG SUPPLIER KILLED IN SHOOT-OUT; P1 MILLION SHABU, CAL .45 GUN SEIZED

“Don’t shoot policemen. We are trained to defend ourselves.”

By: Central Luzon News Center | Nelson Bolos

Thus, said PSupt Ponciano Zafra on the killing of a wanted “big time drug supplier” who shot it out with the arresting policemen around 10:30 in the morning on June 5, 2017 at Purok Uno, Barangay Dalampang.

Around P1 Million worth of shabu and a caliber .45 pistol were recovered.

Killed in an armed-encounter was Felicito Barcoma y Tanjosay, 44, of Purok Apitong, Barangay Poblacion, Gen. Natividad, Nueva Ecija.

Zafra revealed Barcoma was about to be served a warrant of arrest for possession of illegal drugs when he (Barcoma) tried to elude arrest and fired at the arresting cops.

The Warrant of Arrest was issued by Judge Felizardo Montero Jr of the Regional Trial Court Branch 29, Cabanatuan City.

“Nang a-arestuhin namin siya, bigla siyang tumakbo sa bukid at pinutukan niya kami”, said Zafra who personally led the operation against Barcoma.

Recovered from Barcoma were 4 “bulging sachets” of shabu and a Colt caliber .45 pistol. Also confiscated from the Mazda Hatchback car driven by Barcoma were 6 sachets of shabu with a total weight of 60.23 grams.

The street value of seized drugs is around P1 Million. (A gram of shabu is usually repacked into more than 35 pieces of P500 “retail-sized” plastic sachets.)

Zafra also disclosed that Barcoma supplies shabu in Talavera and San Jose towns and in this city.
“He is very elusive. He only stops for a few minutes to deliver shabu to his network of pushers here and in other towns. But our weeks of intelligence work paid-off, we got him at Barangay Dalampang where he was about to deliver (illegal drugs) to one of our informers”, Zafra said.

“We are focused on stopping the entry of drugs into the city. Barcoma gets his shabu from Manila. Actually, when we were running after him at the newly planted palay farm, he was able to throw away many shabu. We could have recovered more shabu if he surrendered peacefully”, also said Zafra.
In his almost 11 months as this city’s chief of police, Zafra has jailed almost 400 pushers and drug addicts.

“I’m warning drug pushers and addict not to shoot at us (policemen). We are trained to defend ourselves and to shoot criminals if the situation calls for it”, added Zafra who has received several medals and commendations for his “relentless” campaign against illegal drugs.

Thus, said PSSupt Ritchie Medardo Posadas as he disclosed the capture on June 2, 2017 of former policeman PO1 Aris Amposta, leader of the “notorious” Amposta robbery-drug group, in his hide-out in the hinterland Dapdap Resettlement, Barangay Lourdes, Bamban town.

Posadas, the Tarlac police provincial director, said Amposta was apprehended in a " isolated mountainous community" based on a warrant of arrest issued by an Angeles City court for Robbery with Violence and Intimidation Against Person.

Amposta went into hiding since the warrant for his arrest was issued by Judge Eda Dizon-Herna of the Angeles City Regional Trial Court Branch 80 in September 21, 2015.

Posadas revealed the Amposta group were involved in a series of robbery, extortion and motornapping cases in Angeles City and other parts of Pampanga including distribution of illegal drugs in Pampanga and Tarlac.

Apparently, the robbery case was filed by a businessman from Angeles City against the 33 years old Amposta, along with another cop-on-AWOL ex-PO1 Roberto Bautista and 2 civilians, Jay-R Nasam Alias Buboy and Elmer “Boyong” Nasam alias Bagalawis.

(Bautista and Jay-AR are still at large while Elmer was recently killed by unidentified gun men in Angeles City.)
.
Their victim was said to have been held up at gunpoint and robbed of his cash and valuables by Amposta and his group.

Posadas also disclosed, Amposta and his cohorts are also the subject of 2 other warrants of arrest – another Robbery with Violence and/or Intimidation against Person case (January 19, 2016) and for Torture (Republic Act 9745 - Anti-Torture Act of 2009).

Amposta belongs to Philippine National Police Recruit batch 2007-2 and was last assigned with the Angeles City Public Safety Company (ACPSC).

He was dismissed from the PNP roll in January 2015. Two of the charges against him were filed during his active duty with the ACPSC.

“The capture of Amposta is the result of the trust and confidence we have established among the people and of our strengthened intelligence system. We are very determined to improve our capability to better serve the people and we will not allow the province (Tarlac) to be haven of any criminal”, said Posadas.

Since Posadas assumed as police provincial director last February, Posadas is credited for making the Tarlac Police Provincial Office (TTPO) the “2nd Best police command in Central Luzon” after being adjudged as second to the least performing provincial office in Region 3.

The capture of Amposta was led by PCInsp Jovy Arceo, chief of police of Bamban.
Posadas also revealed that several pieces of “chop-chop” motorcycle parts and tools for tampering motor and chassis numbers of motorcycles were seized at Amposta’s hide-out intoning that Amposta may also be involved in motornapping.

Tarlac National High School 950 Pesos Controversy

“There’s reason to celebrate, from No. 8 we are now No. 2.”
By: Central Luzon News Center | Nelson Bolos

Thus said, PSSupt Ritchie Medardo Posadas as he revealed the result of the latest performance evaluation of the 9-unit police commands in Central Luzon which have the Tarlac Police Provincial Office (TPPO) in the 2nd top slot.

The Philippine National Police Regional Office 3 (PRO 3) is composed of the provinces of Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Bataan, Aurora, Zambales and Tarlac and police commands of Angeles City and Olongapo City.

“When I assumed office (Tarlac police provincial director) last February, TPPO was No. 8. Our determined efforts to improve our performance and our services to the people paid-off. We are now 2nd Best”, said Posadas.

Posadas replaced former provincial director PSSupt Westrimundo Obinque last February who was sacked by PRO3 Director PCSupt Aaron Aquino for “under performance”.

Tarlac police recently hugged the national news over the series of “commendable accomplishments” including the separate entrapment operation against 2 barangay kagawads in Concepcion who were both arrested selling shabu and the killing in a “bungled buy bust” of a Manila-based supplier of illegal drugs also in the town of Concepcion.

Concepcion Police is headed by PSupt Luis Ventura Jr.

Also the arrest recently of the so-called “Shabu Queen” in Moncada town under PCInsp Palmyra Guardaya made the national newspapers and “trended” in online news.

The evaluation performance rating was Bataan – 52.48 points, Tarlac – 51.69, Zambales -50.92, Nueva Ecija - 37.59, Bulacan – 30.81, Angeles City - 28.29, Olongapo City - 26.22, Pampanga - 26.13 and Aurora - 25.27.

“The difference (with Bataan) is only 0.79 points and your TPPO has no way to go but up”, said Posadas who used to head the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Region 7.

The TPPO has long maintained its “prestige” in PRO 3 for having been headed by former PNP Chief retired PDG Nicanor Bartolome, former DILG Under Secretary Alex Sintin and former PRO 3 Director retired PCSupt Rudy Lacadin.
