Aside from Solemnity of Mary Mother God | New Year's Day (January 1) and The Nativity of the Lord | Christmas Day (December 25). Feast of Immaculate Concepcion (December 8) is one of the three CHURCH Holiday of Obligation in the Philippines.

In the Catholic Church, Holy Days of Obligation are the days as regards which the loyal are obliged to participate in the Mass. They have in addition to abstain from unnecessary works, "which hinder the wonder to be rendered to God, the joy proper to the Lords daylight, or the in the works to era-privileged relaxation of mind and body."

On September 27, 1985, Pope John Paul II approved and confirmed the Norms Approved by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines for the Local Implementation of Some Provisions of the New Code of Canon Law. The entire text of this document can be found in CBCP Monitor, Vol. VI No. 6 (November - December 1985), pp. 32 - 43. To this very day this document has not been overturned or abolished. This document says the following regarding Holy Days of Obligation (pp. 39-40):

Ironically, while December 8 (an official Holy Day of Obligation) is not an official holiday in the Philippines, November 1 All Saints' Day, which is not recognized by the Philippine hierarchy as a Holy Day of Obligation, is an official holiday. As a result many Filipinos go to church on November 1 in the belief that it is a Holy Day of Obligation.

Our perseverance and reforms paid-off.
Central Luzon News Center | Nelson Bolos

This was the comment of Mayor Lita Aquino after receiving the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) “Seal of Good Local Governance” (SGLG).

“We have been trying our best to serve our people. The DILG award proves that we are on the right track in our policies and programs”, Aquino said.

The SGLG award says “the Municipal Government of Moncada met the upgraded criteria for 2017 covering the Four core areas (of good governance), namely: Financial Administration, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection and Peace and Order”.

According to Aquino, “the SGLG award is very significant because we can now avail of special funds from the national government, such as the Performance Challenge Fund. And we can now access bank loans for our various projects”.

Private and government financing institutions require local government units a Good Financial House keeping Certificate from the DILG before their loans are released.

“Additionally, the (Moncada) Municipal Government passed the parameters for all the essential areas: Business Friendliness and Competitiveness, Environmental Management and Tourism , Culture and Arts”, said the DILG award.

With the prestigious award, Aquino commended municipal employees.

“I am proud and, at the same, thankful to our employees for their perseverance and dedication in serving the public and for their upholding honesty in the government service”, Aquino said .

#FeaturedBlog by: Taga Tarlac Ka Kung

The local night club scene is alive and thriving, fueled by the freshest beats served up by the best DJs in town. But admit it– it’s more fun to stand in the middle of the club and pump your fists like you just don’t care when the music isn’t only pleasing to the ears.

In a casual interview by blogger (Ma. Era Cecilia Nunag) i ask her general background, look what I've know: Charisse Rosario Tañedo is a 26 years old graduated at Tarlac State Univesity with the degree of AB English and she's a college teacher by profession. She work in Pampanga as DJ (of course). Her residencies are Aqua Beach Club. she said: "(you can check it's details online it's a 5 star hotel/club)" (~*wink*~) Robs Gastropub and Fallen Angel Bistro owned by a Korean DJ.

And last, she's a beauty queen on her generation, a former Miss TSU, Miss Tarlac Tourism 2010 3rd Runner Up, Miss Cirps 2007 and represented schools and universities in the entire region 3 back then and she was Miss Pasuc 2008 3rd runner up.

This one of the hot DJ in Central Luzon who bring both looks and talent into one awesome package!

Warning: This photos might make you run to the nearest club! Party on, yeah?
